It's a topical theme today with Brian Cox giving us regular updates on TV about the Wonders of the Universe and Solar System and now even the Wonders of Life. What gives my life meaning is to know that my little part of the world is a bit better because of the things I contributed ...

Now I don't aspire to world domination, just to influence my corner of it and always for the better. That's why I do the work I do and why I get such a thrill when someone gets one of those "Aha!" moments.
I know that when someone gets that insight, they have truly learnt something new. When they turn it into action they will move closer to achieving their ambitions. You can see it in their body language; they're suddenly more alert, sit up straight, excited or thoughtful. You can hear it in their voice; faster, louder, more energy, contributing. You feel it with them; they enthuse others, it's contagious and they want to share it too! Even the quiet people in class will volunteer these moments to the room.
And if, through those moments, those people are more successful, who knows what that means to their family, their friends, their staff, their suppliers, their customers and their business community? And for me, as trainer and coach, it's the source of my energy!
Einstein gave us E = MC2 and I offer E = Aha! x C2 where C2 is the speed of light squared (for the non scientists amongst us that's a really huge amount of energy!). What a fantastic way to earn a living.
