You can insure your business against being ill if your community keep working for you!

Even when at home, I was out and about a lot less and most of the time didn't even have the energy to write my weekly blog post or keep up with social media. Anyone running their own consultancy will know what an impact that can have on their business!
"It had the potential to be a disaster!"
So what was heartening about this? Well, it was wonderful to see the results of building a strong networking paying off. For me, my network is more than just a route to get to my clients - it is the feeling of security that comes with being part of a community that supports each other.
I have certainly felt that over the last few months. People demonstrating their concern, being charitable and understanding when I had to cancel things at the last moment and just being available. I'm not good at asking for help so it was good to see that when I did need it that help was there.
Of course, kind words and understanding won't pay the bills so I still needed introductions to clients needing my services. Referral marketing is about having other people promote your services in your absence.

more than ever!"
Steffi Lewis, and the other great people in my blogging network, helped to keep my social media presence ticking over. It certainly showed me that writing a regular new post every week for over two years has paid off.
This meant that Steffi had lot of existing blog posts to choose from to remind people of some useful tips they can apply to get their network working for them. Being able to 'recycle' these blog posts keep me in people's minds eye and the best thing is that Steffi took care of all that for me and I didn't have to lift a finger to do it. I hope you enjoyed the refresh!
The biggest surprise came when I counted up my results, the proof that my referral marketing works. In the four months I have been doing very little, the wonderful people in my network have come up with 14 new introductions for me. Now I'm looking forward to getting to know these people, bringing them into my referral community and helping them achieve the same sort of results for their business.
So my tip for you this week is the best insurance you can have against being ill is to invest in your business relationships. Build a strong community of people around you who, like you, are willing to support and help each other to generate amazing business together and be there for each other when you need it the most.
