He observed that when two or more people opened up to share their experiences and knowledge then the ideas, innovations and solutions that emerged resulted in better decisions and more action.

In the video below I recall how, when I was undertaking my Master Degree, I learnt as much in the coffee room from discussions with my fellow students as I did in the lecture theatre.
Over time, others have added discipline and structure around the concept to maximise the benefits for business leaders. This has spawned a wide variety of approaches with varying degrees of formality, content and title.
From Mastermind Groups, Action Learning Sets, Group Coaching, Boards of Advisors, Retreats, to agenda items in networking groups, right down to the good old fashioned business lunch.
Formulating our own version of these was a natural progression for Asentiv. It's right there in our core beliefs and our mission statement. We believe in the collective energy of entrepreneurs working together. We create communities of like-minded entrepreneurs, generating amazing business and a spectacular life!
Over the next few weeks, through this blog, I'll explore the pros and cons of participating in a Mastermind group. For now, I hope my video gives you a flavour of what's to come!

I help people build and maintain productive working relationships both with their work colleagues and with a wider network to win more business. I do this by combining my skills in coaching, mediation and training with my extensive experience in senior management.
What I love most about my work is when my clients get those a-ha moments because I know they have seen for themselves the way that they want to move forward. Then they will achieve their ambitions.
Helping people who are having challenges with their working relationships gives me enormous pleasure. It was my privilege when working in health care to see how people working together can make the impossible seem easy and accomplish miracles as a result.
So helping people build or restore strong relationship with their colleagues makes even the hardest work easier, alleviates distress for the individual and reduces problems for the whole organisation.
In all this work trust is an essential ingredient to winning business so most of my work comes through referrals. Referrals come through strong business relationships so it was a natural extension for me to work with Ascentiv and train others in how to get consistent and predictable referrals from their network.
